Deftech of Azerbaijan unveils its new generation of drones at ADEX 2024

At ADEX 2024, Azerbaijani company Deftech attracted attention with the presentation of its new range of drones at the cutting edge of technology. These unmanned aerial systems (UAV) are the result of a local development process, highlighting the skills of Azerbaijani engineers. The DT-001 and DT-101 models were the focus of the exhibition, demonstrating advanced capabilities in reconnaissance and attack missions. Around 90% of the production of these drones uses local technologies, illustrating an ambition for industrial autonomy.

Impressive technical specifications

The models presented, such as the DT-101 VTOL, have remarkable technical characteristics. This drone weighs between 55 and 75 kg, with a wingspan of 3.6 meters, demonstrating a increased endurance capacity. Powered by electric motors and a thermal engine, it has the capacity to climb up to 5,000 meters in altitude. Advanced camera systems, including electro-optical cameras, are integrated for surveillance missions. The DT-001 models, on the other hand, are armed drones capable of carrying munitions for attack purposes, with a maximum takeoff weight of 120 kg, making them versatile solutions in the field.
