During the Defence Services Asia 2018 exhibition, Deftech presented its latest innovation: a variant dedicated to logistic support of the renowned all-terrain vehicle Condor 4×4. This enhanced model promises to increase the efficiency of military operations thanks to its optimized technical features. By removing the upper part of the APC, the vehicle can accommodate specific containers for transporting equipment and resources, thereby facilitating logistic missions.

Toggletechnical features of the condor 4×4
The Condor 4×4 is equipped with a four-cylinder engine from the brand Deutz, offering a maximum speed of 100 km/h. This model was originally designed to transport the UAV system Aludra, which is in service within the Malaysian armed forces. The vehicle is capable of executing surveillance and reconnaissance missions, especially along the Sabah border. In addition to these operational capabilities, the logistic variant reduces the crew to only four soldiers, making operations smoother and less congested.
impact on the malaysian military
With an initial order of 460 Condor APC in 1981, the decommissioning of older vehicles was planned starting in 2018, paving the way for replacement by the 8×8 GEMPITA armoured vehicle. However, despite this transition, the logistic variant of the Condor is designed to continue serving and integrating into the Royal Armoured Corps regiments. The evolution of the Condor towards logistic support highlights the ongoing efforts of the Malaysian defense industry to modernize its capabilities and offer solutions tailored to contemporary needs.
